LA IRISH-ITALIAN ASSOCIATION
Welcome to the Louisiana Irish-Italian Association! The mission of the Louisiana Irish-Italian parade is threefold: to celebrate the heritage and traditions of two proud nationalities; to provide the best family-oriented parade for the people of Jefferson Parish and visitors from around the country; and to donate annually to local nonprofit organizations.
On this site, you will find parade information as well as details regarding the events leading up to the parade. The primary purpose of this site is to deliver information about the parade, to increase awareness of the parade and the organization, to celebrate the heritage of both Irish and Italians, and overall, to contribute to the success and enjoyment that this great organization delivers annually to the people of our community.

FAMILY FRIENDLY FUN TIME
The Irish-Italian Parade is one of the most talked about family friendly organizations in Metairie, LA. We have been rolling since the early 80’s for families in the Greater New Orleans area. Over the years, our organization has grown but still maintains a family oriented atmosphere where you can take your kids and grandkids to have a good time along the route. Stand on the neutral or sidewalk side to catch tons of stuff from the 120+ units we have in our lineup. Everything from marching groups to floats to trucks, we have them all!
We are known for hosting the largest parade in Metairie that typically has anywhere between 250k to 350k people in attendance. Families from all around gather around in the early morning hours, ready to stake our their spots in preparation for our crews to pass by them. Who knew it would be so much fun making groceries, right?
